WOODLAND MANAGEMENT ON M90 NEAR BALMANNO HILL IN PERTH AND KINROSS BEGINS SUNDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER

Amey is undertaking essential woodland management on the M90 near Balmanno Hill in Perth and Kinross from Sunday 15th September to Monday 7th October.

Work is taking place to trim and remove areas of woodland adjacent to the M90, between the two footbridges south of Balmanno Farm, for the safety of the travelling public.

Resurfacing work will also be taking place, within the existing traffic management, on approximately 390 metres of the M90 northbound carriageway from the Dron overbridge. The resurfacing work will take place from Monday 23rd September to Friday 27th September.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under a contraflow system and lane closures.

Lane closures will be in place on the M90 in both directions between 7.30pm on Sunday 15th September and 7.30pm on Monday 16th September to set up the traffic management.

A contraflow will be in place from 7.30pm on Monday 16th September until 6.30am on Sunday 29th September.

Further lane closures will be in place between 6.30am on Sunday 29th September and 6.30am on Monday 30th September to stand down the contraflow.

There will then be daytime closures of lane one on the M90 southbound from Monday 30th September to Friday 4th October between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.

There will also be an overnight closure of lane one on Sunday 6th October between 7.30pm and 6.30am.

The adjacent hard shoulder will also be closed throughout this work period.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
