SURFACING IMPROVEMENTS ON A95 NEAR ADVIE IN STRATHSPEY BEGIN MONDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER

Amey is carrying out surfacing improvements on the A95 carriageway near the village of Advie in Strathspey from Monday 23rd September to Tuesday 1st October.

The £210,000 project, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will address defects on approximately 620 metres of the A95 between Advie Mains and 140 metres east of Airdbeg Cottage.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures of the A95 between 7.30pm and 6.30am during the work period.

There will be no overnight works on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th September.

All traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am on Tuesday 1st October.

A signed diversion will be in place. Northbound traffic will leave the A95 at the A939 through Grantown-on-Spey and continue to turn right onto the A940 at Dava, following to Forres before turning right onto the A96 and continuing to Elgin and taking the third exit at the roundabout onto the A941 to rejoin the A95 at Craigellachie. Southbound traffic will take the route in reverse.

In addition, amnesties to allow traffic through the works area will be available at 8.30pm, 9.30pm, 10.30pm, 11.30pm, 1.30am, 3am and 5am each night. Please note that traffic will be allowed through one direction at a time so delays are possible.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
