OVERNIGHT RESURFACING TO A92 AT EAST DOCK STREET IN DUNDEE BEGINS SUNDAY 18TH FEBRUARY

Amey is undertaking overnight surfacing improvements to the A92 at East Dock Street in Dundee between Sunday 18th February and Friday 1st March.

The £470,000 project, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will address defects on more than 1700 metres of the A92 road surface travelling eastbound on East Dock Street, between Broughty Ferry Road and Gellatly Street.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out overnight between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night, using a combination of convoy working, temporary traffic lights and lane closures.

There will be no access between East Marketgait and A92 East Dock Street overnight on Monday 19th February. A local diversion will be in operation.

Access to Trades Lane, Mary Ann Lane, East Whale Lane, Peep O’Day Lane, Melville Lane and Market Street will be restricted individually at times when works are taking place across junctions. Access will remain available from other roads.

Westbound traffic should continue on Broughty Ferry Road to access these roads from the north if possible.

All traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am on Friday 1st March.

The resurfacing will benefit nearly 6,500 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
