Further Gateside Junction off-slip closures
Issued: 5 September 2024
Gateside Junction off-slip will be closed on Monday 9th, Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th September between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day in order to complete the works that will affect the slip road.
Northbound traffic looking to exit at Gateside junction can travel north to the B9127 Invereighty Junction, where they can turn and return southbound on the A90 and exit for Gateside.

The drainage and road safety work on the A90 at Gateside has been extended, with traffic management in place on both the A90 northbound and southbound carriageways.
Northbound work has been extended until Friday 13th September.
The work will be carried out under a closure of lane one of the A90 northbound between 9am and 5pm on weekdays.
The lane closure will start at AM Phillip and end at Gateside Junction off-slip. Business and farm access will remain open during the works.
Gateside Junction off-slip will be closed on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th August.
Northbound traffic looking to exit at Gateside junction can travel north to the B9127 Invereighty Junction, where they can turn and return southbound on the A90 and exit for Gateside.
Southbound work has been extended until Friday 30th August.
The existing 24 hour lane closure will remain in place during this time.
DRAINAGE AND ROAD SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS ON A90 NEAR GATESIDE BEGIN MONDAY 15TH JULY
Amey is undertaking a £540,000 project to deliver a range of drainage and road safety improvements on the A90 near Gateside in Angus from Monday 15th July.
The road structure and other infrastructure near the A90 Gateside turn off, approximately five miles south of Forfar, suffered significant damage during unprecedented rainfall from storm events which affected the Dundee and Angus areas over the winter period.
Temporary traffic management has been in place to protect the affected area, as well as allow investigation and survey work to be safely undertaken, helping inform the extent of the full repairs that are needed to the road infrastructure.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will now undertake repair work to fully reopen the A90 southbound carriageway, as well as improve the drainage on both the south and northbound carriageways.
Work on the A90 southbound carriageway will begin on Monday 15th July within the existing traffic management currently in place, which consists of a closure of lane one on the A90 southbound.
The works will include installation of a new filter drain and new vehicle safety barriers, as well as repairs to the A90 southbound carriageway.
The A90 southbound carriageway is scheduled to fully reopen on Thursday 8th August.
Work on the A90 northbound carriageway to install new drainage systems will begin on Monday 5th August.
The work will be carried out under a closure of lane one of the A90 northbound between 9am and 5pm on weekdays. Farm accesses and slip roads in the area will remain open during these works.
Work on the A90 northbound carriageway is scheduled to be completed by Friday 16th August.
