Vehicle width limit at contraflow on A90 between Forfar and Brechin

Vehicles exceeding 3 metres in width will not be accommodated through the contraflow

The contraflow on the A90 between Forfar and Brechin has implemented a three metre width limit for vehicles travelling through the traffic management.

Due to the required width restriction, vehicles exceeding the three metre width limit will not be accommodated through the contraflow and will be required to take a suitable alternative route via the A9 and A96.

This limit has been implemented by Amey, following liaison with Police Scotland, to ensure the safety of road users and the workforce.

Wide loads will be advised to stop at signed laybys on both the northbound and southbound approach to the contraflow location.

Northbound traffic will be able to turn at Glamis Junction and southbound traffic turn at Brechin Castle in order to take an alternative route.
