Amey recruiting new intake of gritter drivers

Amey Recruitment Days - Inverness and Perth

AMEY HOSTING OPEN DAYS FOR NEW INTAKE OF GRITTER DRIVERS ON 12th & 13th SEPTEMBER

Amey, the company maintaining the trunk road network in north-east Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland, is hosting two open-day events, one in Inverness and one in Perth, for any drivers, with a valid HGV Class 2 (CAT C) licence, interested in joining the company’s Winter Service team.

Drivers, without a Class 2 licence, but with clean valid licenses will also be considered and CAT C training will be provided.

  • The Inverness event will take place between 9am and 5pm on Monday 12th September 2022 at Jury’s Inn, Millburn Road, Inverness IV2 3TR. Anyone looking to registering their interest in the Inverness event, or planning to attend should visit: https://www.amey.co.uk/talent-link/external/job/475837
  • The Perth event will take place between 3pm and 7pm on Tuesday 13th September 2022 at Amey’s Perth Office, Caledonian House, West Kinfauns, Perth PH2 7XZ. Anyone looking to registering their interest in the Perth event, or planning to attend should visit: https://www.amey.co.uk/talent-link/external/job/475025

The events will provide an opportunity to drop in and have a chat with the winter service team, and suitably qualified candidates may be offered an interview on the same day. Winter Service will commence in early October 2022.

Snow and ice can cause disruption and increase the risks to pedestrians and motorists in winter. Amey work to keep trunk road network users safe while driving in severe weather conditions and to ensure that delays are minimised, and accidents are prevented.

The North East network covers 593km of trunk road, including 485 bridges and structures, including Friarton Bridge, carrying the M90 over the River Tay. The North East trunk road network covers some of Scotland's major cities including Perth, Dundee and Aberdeen, across nine different Scottish north east regions.
