Amey completes £970,000 upgrade on the A90 ahead of schedule

Nearly 1500m of the A90 resurfaced

Amey’s new north east team has delivered a £970,000 upgrade to nearly 1500 metres of the A90 near Forfar ahead of schedule.

The resurfacing project was carried out on the A90 southbound carriageway between the Quilkoe overbridge and Kirriemuir junction.

The two-week project, which was originally scheduled to finish on Tuesday 28th February, was completed early by Friday 24th February and the stretch of road is once again open to motorists.

The scheme, which Amey carried out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will benefit more than 11,000 vehicles who use the route each day.

The work addressed defects on the A90 road surface, creating a smoother ride for drivers and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

Amey would like to thank drivers for their patience while the work was completed.
