AMEY HOSTING TWO RECRUITMENT OPEN DAYS TO WORK ON NORTH EAST TRUNK ROADS

Amey, one of the largest and most diverse highways organisations in the UK, is looking for highway heroes be part of their North East team.

The company will be hosting two recruitment open days in Aberdeen and Peterhead on Monday 28th November and Tuesday 29th November to share job opportunities for highways maintenance operatives, Business support roles, management positions and more.

Amey’s highways team in Scotland has taken over Transport Scotland’s improved roads maintenance contract in the north east. The contract, worth up to an estimated £540m, will run for eight years with a potential to extend for a further four years.

Working with Transport Scotland, Amey will deliver highways maintenance on the motorways and trunk roads, design road safety schemes, and look after bridges and structures.

By joining Amey workers can play a vital role in maintaining much of the critical infrastructure that connects people, businesses, and communities across north east Scotland, ensuring the continued safety and reliability of several of Scotland’s key road networks.

The north east network covers 593km of trunk road, including 485 bridges and structures, such as the Friarton Bridge, carrying the M90 over the River Tay. The network also covers some of Scotland's major cities, including Perth, Dundee and Aberdeen, across nine different Scottish north east regions.
