Freedom Of Information

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 gives everyone the right to ask for any information held by a Scottish public authority. The Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (EIRs) give you a similar right to ask for environmental information.

Your right to request information

Any Freedom of Information request that you wish to submit in relation to the Scottish Trunk Road Network Maintenance Contract (NMC) - North East Unit should be made via Transport Scotland.

In line with the Freedom of Information (Scotland ) Act 2002, public authorities in Scotland must provide recorded information they hold to a requester unless the requested information is covered by a freedom of information exemption

Anyone can request information – there are no restrictions on your age, nationality or where you live.

In processing your request, Transport Scotland will be complying with a statutory Freedom of Information obligation. In order to do so, they will need your full name and a contact address (postal or email address).
