Amey visits Team Jak in Aberdeen after making community fund donation

Jak's Den in Aberdeen provides practical, social and emotional support for children.

We paid a visit to Team Jak in Aberdeen to see their amazing Jak’s Den facility and learn more about the great work the charity do.

Our Community Fund recently donated £500 to Team Jak. The community fund sees our staff nominate local causes that operate in the communities where we work, and which are close to their hearts, for support.

Team Jak provides emotional, social and practical support to children and young people with cancer and their families.

The charity was established in 2015 by inspirational teenager Jak Trueman who passed away at the age of 15 from cancer.

He wanted a den where families could relax, receive support, get counselling, music therapy and support for siblings in a friendly environment.

Jak’s Den in Aberdeen was established last year and Amey’s Engagement Manager Billy Gordon popped along to say hello.
