Amey staff use social value days to support Scottish Poppy Appeal

Staff raise funds and awareness for Scottish Poppy Appeal

As part of our commitment to supporting areas across north east Scotland where we operate, Amey encourages all staff to use their social impact days to support local communities.

Staff are encouraged to reach out to charities that they would like to support, enquire about how best they can do so and use their social impact day accordingly.

Amey Highways Operative Neil Finlayson used his social impact day to volunteer for the Scottish Poppy Appeal, Scotland's largest fundraising campaign and takes place annually in the lead up to Remembrance Sunday in November.

Neil spent the day at a local shopping centre supporting the Scottish Poppy Appeal and collecting donations.

Using a social impact day is a great way to give back to charities that mean a lot to each individual, helping support the charity with donations and spreading awareness of their cause.
