Amey deliver interview skills morning with Perth High School pupils

Pupils learnt about personal branding and picked up interview techniques

As part of our work giving back to the communities where we work, Amey paid a visit to Perth High School to deliver an engagement and interview skills morning with pupils in S2, S3 and S4.

The engagement session focused on personal branding, how each of the pupils perceived themselves and what their personal brand looks like.

Social media was also discussed with pupils asked to think about how an employer may perceive their own brand if they were to look at their social media.

The pupils were then taken through information on work culture such as dress code, punctuality and probationary periods. An interview skills workshop was also conducted where the pupils were taught about what to wear to an interview and how to prepare.

Perth High School DYW Co-ordinator Aileen Logan said: “Amey gave the pupils a brilliant insight into how to prepare for the world of work. The pupils really appreciated the generous and encouraging feedback that they received at the end of the session and left equipped to tackle future challenges with confidence.”
